As part of staff development policy, the college arranged some workshops, I had some training on IT like "Office 2010" and "Getting gold in Moodle". As someone who spends long hours with students queries, I also attended two extremely useful workshops; "Engaging with young people" and "Dealing with students with mental disorders".

We are faced with different students aged from 14 to 70 years old, sometimes with difficulties, and engaging with them needs special skills. I think these kind of workshops would help front line staff to deal with difficult cases.
